Russell WANGARD Obituary

Russell John Wangard passed away peacefully on Monday, March 4, 2024. Russ was born March 23, 1938 in Milwaukee to Walter and Helen (Summers) Wangard. He married the love of his life Barbara Neuwirth on April 22, 1960 and celebrated 60 years of marriage together. Barbara preceded him in death on July 21, 2020. Russ worked for over 35 years for Northwestern Mutual Life (NML).

He was a proud grandpa and loved spending time with his grandkids. Russ was an avid Brewers, Packers, and Bucks fan. He loved reading Grisham and history novels and riding his bike, especially in Florida. He will miss his 3rd Monday Pizza group.

Russ is survived by his children, Craig (Dawn) Wangard, Kevin (Jana) Wangard, and Michelle (Juan) Velasquez; his grandchildren Dylan, Alexis, Elena, and Ryan; and a host of dear friends.

Per Russ's request, no formal services will be celebrated.
